One person was killed and three others are missing after a Hard Rock hotel under construction in New Orleans collapsed on Saturday morning.
The city's fire department received a call about the collapse, just after 9 am
A person was declared dead on the site, a fireman said during a press conference.
"It's a very dangerous situation," said firefighter superintendent Timothy McConnell, adding that the building is "unstable" collapse is possible.
18 people were hospitalized in stable condition. A person who was injured refused medical treatment.
The upper floors of the building began to collapse before one side of the building fell to the ground, The Associated Press reported.
"This remains a very liquid and very dangerous situation, and every few minutes something of this building falls down," said Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards.
The city's fire department posted photos on Twitter which show the roof and several of them partially destroyed with a large pile of rubble on the street below.
