Rumors about Nvidia's next-gen graphics cards are getting louder. Lenovo has apparently confirmed that the new GPUs will be called the 1
Lenovo Leaks Branding & Availability
In an interview with E3 by YouTuber Brainbean Lenovo product manager Rex Stover discussed the Nvidia 11 series and introduced the new Cube C530 and C730 desktops. On three separate occasions (at 1:30, 2:50, and 3:40 in the above-linked video), he referred to the rumor mill of Nvidia technology as the 11 Series, which called the top model by name (1180) and give a timetable for his arrival (this fall).
To be fair, it is not uncommon for tech companies to give vague timetables and refer to unpublished products for their generally accepted name. The 11 series branding is no secret at this point and it would be safe to assume that the top of the product stack would have a similar branding to the previous Nvidia GPUs.
However, this is a rare moment when a reputed company spokesman stands in front of the camera believing the rumor, and some could understandably give his words immense weight. The casual tone with which the information was conveyed could be perceived as harmless hearsay or doctrine, depending on who you ask, but only time will tell if those claims are correct.
A separate report from Videocardz suggests that Nvidia is already setting the stage for announcing the new GPU series at Gamescom in August that Nvidia is said to have invitations to the Press for the event with the promise of "practical demonstration of the latest PC games" sends title. "
The website does not provide any evidence for this claim, but the author suggests that" no one would offer a free trip to Europe if it did not matter. "This is a bit thin, but with another timely leak to availability in Q3 (fall), announcing in August would make sense, but there are many opportunities (technology conferences) for Nvidia to unleash its new graphics card series between now and Q3 that we would not put all our eggs in a single basket.
