Two former New Mexico Spa customers who offered "vampire facials" were diagnosed with HIV, state health officials said.

According to the Department of New Mexico Both customers "Health" received "injection procedure" between May and September last year in the now closed VIP Spa in Albuquerque.

Tests have found that clients have recently been infected with the same virus strain. This increases the likelihood that the two HIV infections will be due to a procedure in the VIP Spa, "the press release said.
The spa, which closed after a health check in September, offered" vampire facials "in which Plasma was extracted from a client's own blood and then injected into the client's face, KRQE-TV reported.
The treatment gained popularity in 2013 when reality TV star Kim Kardashian reported on Instagram.

The State Health Department is offering free HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C tests for former spas. To date, more than 100 patrons have been donated Officials said.
