2 teenagers accused of stealing car from woman who offered to drive after protests | WBNS-10TV Columbus, Ohio



Columbus, Ohio – Two teenagers, ages 18 and 13, have been charged with Columbus police and accused of attacking a woman and stealing her car.

Police said the woman saw four people running shortly after 12 noon on Tuesday in an alley near Lane Avenue and High Street, near an area where a lot of demonstrators had recently been cleared from the street .

The police said the woman offered asked if they wanted to go with them, and the four got into the car.

She drove to the area of ​​Long Street and Ohio Avenue when people in the car pulled her hair out, attacked her and stole her car, the police said.

The police found the car in the Cleveland Ave and East 23rd Avenue areas and there was a short chase that ended in a car accident at a construction site near Woodland Avenue and 5th Avenue.

Officers chased two of the youths and arrested them. Police said two women in the car left the scene.
