The Audi R8 V10 is an easy car to love. It's handsome, and in terms of supercars it's relatively affordable to own, reliable and in fact makes a pretty sensible everyday driver. Audi would probably have been able to continue with the without getting too many complaints. Not enough to rest on its laurels, the company announced on Tuesday that its mid-engine rocket has made some improvements.
First and foremost, this high-revving V1
In terms of performance changes, Audi promises the handling of the 2019 R8 gets some love in the form of some suspension and steering settings. Again, the German car manufacturer is quite cautious about what's changing in the suspension, but the steering has been adjusted to give more feedback, and there is also an optional variable ratio dynamic steering system.
Audi also brings new drive settings for the R8. In particular, it adds dry, wet and snow settings to the car's performance mode. Honestly, we'd like to meet the maniac running snow in the performance mode, but since it's all-wheel drive, with a good amount of snow, we would not mind trying it out, either.
New lightweight 20-inch wheels are available as an option, 19-inch units are standard. Carbon ceramic brakes are still available, as expected from such a machine. Audi has also redesigned the front splitter of the car, making it of carbon-reinforced plastic, a change that cuts a bit over 4npounds from the nose of the car.
