Our friends at Draft Wire have a brand new 2020 NFL mock draft of the one-round variety. Pittsburgh Steelers do not have a first-round pick, this is not the case. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Pittsburgh's first-round pick to the Miami Dolphins.
In this hypothetical, the Steelers first-round pick is No. 8 overall. And with that pick the Dolphins select Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Lamb is one of the two most dynamic offensive playmakers in the entire draft. He is a true no. 1 receiver and a future star.
Lamb only has 31 receptions in seven games for Oklahoma this season. Lamb has turned 10 of those catches into touchdowns and has received 681 yards for a 22-yard average.
Would Lamb fill a need? Absolutely. JuJu Smith-Schuster has struggled to assume the role of a No.1
We've got a lot of mock drafts so far this season and honestly if Fitzpatrick is a better player than the one selected with the pick. Pittsburgh's defense is still chasing its tail. A player like Lamb is going to make some offense much better. But not Pittsburgh's.
