21 Savage is a free man once again. After spending time in the Custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following his arrest on Feb. 3 the rapper was released on Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 12), according to TMZ . The rapper's lawyers gave a statement to the celebrity news website following his release.
"21 What is there in and out of the world? " Alex Spiro Charles H. Kuck and Dina LaPolt said in the joint statement. "He does not want to forget this ordeal or any of the other fathers, sons, family members, and faceless people, he was locked up with that and remains unjustly incarcerated across the country." He asks for your hearts and minds to be with them. "
Responding to 21's release what his co-manager Kei Henderson, who tweeted," Prayer Works. " Metro Boomin, a frequent 21 collaborator who won a "Free 21 Savage" coat during his performance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night (Feb. 11). "Metro's jacket did this," she tweeted.
Savage was arrested following a traffic stop in Atlanta on Feb. 3, and was taken into custody , residing in the US unlawfully.
ICE spokesman Bryan Cox said at the time, "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested unlawfully present Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA '21 Savage 'during a targeted operation with local law enforcement agencies. Mr. Abraham-Joseph was taken into ICE custody as he is unlawfully present in the U.S. and so a convicted felon. "
The status of his deportation remains up in the air. 21 deported, he wants while living in the States.
21 has been granted an expedited hearing for this case.
