The specifications are not really in question. However, the brief appearance of the Threadripper 2990X at Canada Computer produced several other delicacies, such as the model number (YD299XAZAFWOF), the total amount of cache (80 MB), and TDP (250 W). And of course the price, although we are a little less confident than the rest of the information.

The listing no longer appears on the merchant's website, but it did not disappear before it was noticed and the screen was grabbed, as above shown. The price you see is in Canadian currency; It expects around US $ 1,850. That's almost twice what the thread ripper 1950X debuted at ($ 999), though it also has twice the number of physical cores and threads thrown at workloads.
All of these cores come through the packaging of four 8-core Ryzen chips on package, combined with AMD Infinity Fabric. It's also worth noting that the next batch of thread ripper CPUs will maintain compatibility with the TR4 socket so that existing owners can upgrade without replacing their existing motherboards (after a BIOS update, of course).
