It's a 1

968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 that was discovered in a barn in Texas a decade ago and still looks like it's kept there. The collector who bought it, Amos Minter, decided to get it working again while maintaining the patina he found intact.

Think of it as a BFF: Barn Find Forever Only 1,020 GT500 Fastbacks were built this year, but are not in the factory-specific condition. The automatic transmission it came with was eventually replaced with a 4-speed manual, and the model-spec 428/360 hp Interceptor V8 and 4-stroke Holley carburetor are not heralded as a number-one engine.

Considering the unique conditions, it is difficult to value the car, but reasonable examples of the model are sold for $ 100,000, with gems costing well over $ 150,000.

The collectors car market will decide what is worth this at the Mecum Auctions event in Indianapolis in mid-May.
