Flip or Flop Christina El Moussa has signed a deal for a new original series with HGTV

Christina at the Seaside will introduce real estate and houseflipping experts expanding their design business in Southern California. The series with eight episodes is scheduled to premiere in early 2019.

In the series, El Moussa will turn the obsolete objects of customers into high-end venues. It will also spotlight her personal journey following her breakup with husband Tarek. Cameras will follow her when she's looking for a new home to start over while reconciling parenting, career and a new relationship.

Flip or Flop, with Christina and Tarek El Moussa was a hit and inspired HGTV franchise that featured housing conversion experts in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Fort Worth, and Nashville Chicago worked. The franchise was hit in 201

6 when the couple announced their divorce, raising questions about the future of the show. The duo announced that they would return for a seventh season, which celebrated May 31 to strong ratings.

"Christina's design style is very popular, so it's a natural progression for us to expand her visibility with a new series," said Allison Page, President, HGTV and Food Network. "Their fans are also deeply rooted in their personal lives and eager to see what happens next – so we give them the opportunity to share in those real moments in a way no one else can."

Tarek El Moussa is also in discussions to develop a possible new series with HGTV.
