The Battle Round ended on Tuesday night of NBC's 15th season The Voice.
Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson had already used their loot in this round Blake Shelton was the only remaining coach. Artists who are advanced will join the knockouts next week. Celebrity Mentors Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Halsey and CeeLo Green were back to help the artists.
First, Erika Zade and Sarah Grace of Team Kelly were "No Roots" by Alice Merton . Zade had to work on her confidence, and Clarkson encouraged both to bring the shot to her performance. They mixed well, both brought a soft pop sound to the song.
In their last appearance, they brought the duo a lot of momentum, played out their strengths and delivered a powerful pop ballad. Clarkson chose Grace as the winner and Zade was eliminated.
Team Blake's Kameron Marlowe and Kayley Hill followed with a performance of "I want to be with you only" by Hootie and the Blowfish . The country singers were well matched, and Urban encouraged Marlowe to lay down the guitar to really focus on his presence and singing.
The slowed-down arrangement allowed both artists to focus on the vocals and present their tone and breadth. They both found the feelings in the song and gave a compelling duet. Shelton chose Kameron as the winner and Hill went home.
In struggles that were not fully aired, Team Kelly defeated Claire DeJean Josh Davis, Team Blakes Kirk Jay defeated Caeland Garner, and Jennifer Kennedy defeated Lela
Closing Outside the campaign week of Season 1
Both artists provided solid runs and ad-libs in their final performance and also had strong chemistry, resulting in a really strong duet. It was one of the best battles of the season. Levine chose Nico as the winner, and Shelton recorded Funsho.
The knockouts will start voting next week.
