Four people were killed and four others were injured early Sunday in a shootout at a Waffle House in Tennessee, said Don Aaron of the Metro Nashville Police Department in an interview with the CBS Daughter WTVF.

"One patron wrestled the shooter's rifle, he was naked and fled on foot, he is a white man with short hair," the authorities tweeted.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department identified a "person of interest" in the shootout as Travis Reinking, 29 , from Morton, Illinois

"The vehicle in which the gunman arrived is registered for him," the police tweeted. "Gunman last seen south on Murfreesboro Pike. He shed his coat and is naked." See Reinking? Please call 615-862-8600 immediately. "

The police said a man who was Reinking was last seen "in a forest line near Discovery in Mountain View Apts. On Mountain Springs Dr. near the Waffle House." The man wore black pants and no shirt.

Police said the filming took place at Waffle House in 3571 Murfreesboro Pike, Antioch.

"We are deeply affected by this tragic incident," Waffle House said in a statement. Waffle House said there was an active investigation and all questions were forwarded to the police.

"This is a very sad day for the Waffle House family and we ask everyone to keep the victims and their families in their thoughts and prayers," the statement said.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center officials said, "One person was considered stable but critical, and two others were in critical condition."
