Four students from Monroe High School were injured in a car crash on Friday on the way to prom, school officials said.
The one-vehicle accident occurred around 19:30. on the 8200 block of Millikin Road, authorities say.
Authorities say two people were ejected from the vehicle.
All four were hospitalized. The authorities said one of these four was taken to Cincinnati in the Air Force.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with our students and their families," said Phil Cagwin, Monroe Schools superintendent.
A separate statement from Monroe Schools reads:
Tonight, there was a serious car accident involving four students from Monroe High School en route to prom.
Currently, the participants are transported to different local hospitals and their families are with them. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the students and their families. The students at the prom were briefed on the accident and called in other faculties and supervisors to help our students.
After-Prom is currently running as planned from midnight to 3pm. Students will be released from the prom at approximately 11.30am, and if attending the prom, they must report to the gymnasium by 1am. After-Prom is considered a safe place for our students to meet with their friends and have additional support staff.
