4 things you should know about the new Patriots Lineman Jermaine Eluemunor

The Patriots increased the offensive line depth of the team on Wednesday with two trades. One was for Cardinals against Korey Cunningham, the other for Ravens Guard Jermaine Eluemunor.

It remains to be seen exactly where exactly one of the two players fits into the squad of New England. In Eluemunor's case, this is another chapter in an unlikely journey across several continents.

Eluemunor played at Texas A & M after a transfer from a junior college and was selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of the 2017 draft.

] Here are a few other things to know about Eluemunor's story:

He grew up in England.

Eluemunor was born in London, England, the son of an English mother and father who had immigrated from Nigeria when he was older. He grew up in a London borough called Camden.

"Look, I think of my accent as more London / Jersey / Texas," Eluemunor said during an interview with British publication The Independent in 201

7, "but when I hear you speak, remember it somehow me! I realize how American I sound. "

Eluemunor had the size to play football from a young age, but initially dealt with rugby. He was also introduced to other sports, but was not interested in it.

"They would let us play cricket," Eluemunor told the magazine Gridiron . "I do not like this sport."

It took a happy time and a happy interest in another sport to bring Eluemunor into contact with the football game.

His introduction to football was due to … football Eluemunor is from London and is a fan of the local football club Arsenal. He still follows the team passionately, buys the latest team kits and tweets his team account on Twitter again.

In 2007 he flipped casually on TV to search for the game Arsenal stumbled upon something he had never seen before: an NFL game. Eluemunor had found the Giants as part of the NFL International Series when the game was played at London's Wembley Stadium.

"Everyone blown each other up," Eluemunor told Sports Illustrated in 2017. "I'm like," Oh, what's that? "

From then on he became slow fascinated by the game.

"You have so many different pieces of the puzzle and I found that interesting." Eluemunor told Gridiron . "The more I researched, the more I fell in love."

It spurred Eluemunor on a path that would lead him to New Jersey for high school, and a college career that culminated with a career start at Texas A & M

He was once the alleged raven starter at the left guard.

After the Raben had exchanged watchmate Alex Lewis for the Jets, it seemed clear to Eluemunor to start in Baltimore's line.

He played with the starting group through Minicamp and was the starting shot of the team in the first two preparatory games. However, he was unable to deliver on a promise made by Ravens coach John Harbaugh.

"I'm going back to Texas, working out my butt and getting back into shape as well as I can," Eluemunor told reporters at the end of the minicamp. He did not do that. When Eluemunor showed up for the training camp, he promptly failed his condition test.

His participation, including the team's third preseason match, was also limited.

He hated the Game of Thrones finale as much as anyone else.

Eluemunor is a Game of Thrones fan and enjoyed the show in the first seven seasons. But just like many others, he felt that the final episode was not what he wanted:

He reiterated a common criticism that the final season was precipitous:
