410 new COVID-19 cases in Idaho, 4 new deaths



IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI / KIDK) – Idaho officials reported 410 new COVID-19 cases and 4 new deaths on Monday.

This brings the total number of confirmed and probable cases reported since March to 37,901.

There are a total of 34,741 confirmed cases and 3,160 probable cases in all 44 of the 44 counties in Idaho, according to figures released from the local health counties and the state. See the table below.

SIPH has confirmed the first COVID-19 related death in Bear Lake County. You can see more HERE.

The SIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimal, moderate, high and critical.

Only Oneida County is in the minimal risk category. The counties that are now in the medium risk category are Bannock County, Bear Lake County, Bingham County, Butte County, Caribou County, and Franklin County. Power County is in the high risk category.

The EIPH COVID-19 Risk Level Monitor has four categories: minimal, medium, high and critical. Counties of Bonneville, Madison, Fremont, Custer, and Jefferson belong to the moderate risk category.

Clark, Lemhi, and Teton Counties belong to the minimal risk category.

EIPH covers Bonneville, Clark. Counties of Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, and Teton.

This week’s hotspots are Idaho County, Ada County, Twin Falls County, Canyon County, and Madison County.

The state reports that there are an estimated 20,485 recovered COVID-19 cases.

The median age of Idahoers with COVID-19 is 39.0 years and ranges from 1 to 100 years. The data exclude 35 people of unknown age.

The age group with the most cases is 18-29 with 10,798 cases.

The state said 8 new hospitalizations were reported, bringing the total to 1,726, and 3 new cases were admitted to the intensive care unit, bringing the total to 446.

There are 2,998 asymptomatically reported cases and 2,579 cases among healthcare workers.

4 new deaths were reported, bringing the total registered deaths to 443.

State officials say deaths broken down by age group are as follows:

  • 2 people died between the ages of 30 and 39
  • 9 people died between the ages of 40 and 49
  • 16 people who died were between 50 and 59 years old
  • 56 people were between 60 and 69 years old
  • 110 people were between 70 and 79 years old
  • 254 people were 80+

94.85% of known race deaths were white. 0.67% of known race deaths were Asians. 0.89% of known race deaths were Black or African American, 1.34% Native American / Alaskan, and 1.12% were Other Races / Multiracial. The racing category for 5 deaths is still pending.

88.26% of known breed deaths were non-Spanish. 11.74% of the known ethnicity deaths were Hispanic. Ethnicity for 4 deaths is pending.
