(WITI) – Seven employees of Popeyes were fired after a brawl at a restaurant in Milwaukee was captured in front of the camera.
Richard Fourte went to the Popeyes on Wednesday evening to avoid the thoroughfare. He noticed many employees working there before it got hot.
Fourte heard someone yell, "It's a fight!" before they ran back to the grill. Then he said, "Two guys are starting to argue again." He began picking up his cell phone when a fierce fight broke out, with chairs flying and several employees thumping.
"It was just out of control," Fourte said. "That was the first thing that went through my mind, as if this was out of control."
The video says that they will soon dissolve it. After the situation had cooled down, Fourte left the restaurant empty-handed.
"Honestly, I did not even want to get the chicken sandwich, you know," Fourte said.
John Broderson, the franchisee of Popeyes, made the following statement to Fox6:
"This was a regrettable, isolated incident that we take very seriously." The dining room was closed immediately after the altercation at 9:30 pm Seven employees were fired from the company, including the on-duty manager. "
The Milwaukee police responded to the scene, but no arrests were made. It is still unclear what triggered the fight.
