Here's an idea that never came to mind, but now that we've heard it, we can not imagine how long it took: Ron Burgundy gets his own podcast. The Ron Burgundy. The show is a collaborative production between Funny or Die and iHeartRadio and will be released on its extensive podcast platform next year.
Here is the announcement about Business Insider:
The Ron Burgundy Podcast are co-produced by Funny Or Die and are an iHeartRadio original podcast. This momentous moment will be the return of the legendary anchorman Ron Burgundy, who has been thrilling fans around the world ever since the movie Anchorman was released in 2004. Burgundy has signed up for two seasons with 12 episodes in the first quarter of 2019 and the second season is scheduled for mid-2019. Extracts of the audio series will also be distributed via iHeartRadio broadcasters and social media channels.
They are really committed to the whole thing: Here is a statement from Conrad Byrne, president of the iHeartPodcast Network: "To be honest, we do not want to do this podcast and we want this announcement as soon as possible to bring oneself. Ron literally forced us to do this podcast with him and first called us more than a hundred times in a single day and then actually appear on our doorstep and physically get into our studios. We hope the podcast will be well received but in the meantime, we hope he agrees to the announcement that he will stay away. "
Aa and here is a statement from Ron Burgundy himself:
" Listen, I do not know what a podcast is, but I currently have a lot of time and a lot to talk about, I'm broke too, so look forward I'm really into this podcast, it literally saves my life. "
" By the way, when iHeartRadio says I pestered her for a podcast, that's a lie !! A bold lie !! Got it one day Yes, but that's called perseverance! I've filed a lawsuit against iHeartRadio for these heavy claims, and I'm rightfully representing myself because I currently do not have enough money to hire a lawyer. "
As you know, Ron Burgundy is the character Will Ferrell played in two Anchorman films, one of which is an ice-cold classic: one might think that information is obvious and unintelligible, but this is the Internet, and we If we do not specify that, then Will Ferrell will host the Ron Burgundy Podcast In-character like Ron Burgundy, I promise you that within an hour we would hear from a pedantic lunatic (Note: working online heard and I highly recommend it).
Anyway, this seems a bit of a very good idea: Burgundy may be flaunting the current events, perhaps reporting on absurd, fictitious events from the Anchorman universe, possibly others Anchorman Members come for occasional guest performances (do not tell me you would not opt for a brick) Tamland Series). Perhaps we will get a legitimate rewarding extension of the mythology of Anchorman . It's not in sight, but the odds seem to be great, whatever that is, will be fun. We are on.
