The attack occurred on Saturday during a funeral in Nganzai district, near the capital of Borno state, Maiduguri.
Twenty-one people were killed in the first attack on the funeral, and another 44 were killed as they tried to escape the attack, Bulama said.
At least ten people were injured in the attack. Eight of them were severely wounded and treated in a local hospital.
Boko Haram fighters have lived in the northern states of Nigeria for the last decade. The terrorist group wants to enforce sharia law in the most populous nation in Africa, which is composed of a majority Muslim north and a predominantly Christian south.
The group has bombed churches and mosques. abducted women and children; and murdered politicians and religious leaders.
