NORFOLK, Va. – A Chesapeake man was arrested and charged with the death of Mechanicsville teenager and William & Mary footballer Nate Evans.
20-year-old Kri & # 39; s Shawn D. Beamon from Chesapeake has been indicted According to Norfolk police with second-degree murder, robberies and two cases of using a firearm while committing a crime. He was arrested on Monday without incident.
Evans was shot and killed on March 21 on a West 43rd Street sidewalk in Norfolk.
"The investigators are investigating this as an isolated incident and have not released the motive or circumstance surrounding the shooting," said a Norfolk police spokesman.
Evans was a sophomore at William & Mary.
