Adam Schiff says Müller's investigation may be missing in important areas

H Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, questioned on Sunday whether Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller had adequately investigated President Trump's financial dealings with a German bank, reinforcing his argument for a new Democrat-led house to initiate his own investigations the finances of the president.

In an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press", the Democratic Party's Congressman in California said his concern was due to a April New York Times report that Trump was trying to dismiss Mueller after it was reported that the special council had summoned the Deutsche Bank. The same report said that Trump only went back after Mueller's office told his counselors and lawyers that the reports were false.

The President warned that Müllers investigators would go beyond a "red line" if they tried to investigate his personal finances and business. Deutsche Bank provided credit to Trump in the 1

990s after US lenders had spoken out against it after a large number of bankruptcies.

"If the Special Representative has not summoned Deutsche Bank, he can not investigate much money laundering," Schiff said. "That's what concerns me, that this red line was enforced, either by the Deputy Prosecutor General [Rod Rosenstein] or by another party in the Ministry of Justice. But that leaves the country exposed. "

Ship announced last week that the House Intelligence Committee, now in charge with him, will initiate a full investigation of Trump's and Russia's financial transactions.

This investigation also includes a look at Trump's financial relationship with Deutsche Bank, which was "investigated" by the House Intelligence Committee and the House Financial Services Committee under the direction of Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif.

Schiff's investigations into the investigation have led to trumpbacks by Trump, who described him as a "political hack" last week, engaging in "harassment by the president."

Ship defended the investigation of the Trump Treasury by the Intelligence Committee. "As for the presidential business, we are not interested in our committee, whether he has a tax cheat or not, what he says, what he says," Schiff said. "What interests us is, does the President have business relations with Russia so that he compromises the United States?"

He also said that the committee has no choice but to conduct another investigation parallel to Mueller, rather than wait for the particular office of the counselor to finish his work.

"If we had waited to conduct any investigations for the Mueller investigation, we would have waited a year and a half," Schiff said. "And we have a separate and independent and important responsibility, and that's telling the country what happened."
