Re-register with your Pinterest and take the Mood Boards because they will come in handy. Adobe has today previewed an Illustrator feature at the OFFF Barcelona creative conference, allowing users to extract color palettes from images and photos. Users can then apply a palette to their imagery so the app can color it automatically and make custom adjustments from there.
The Color Transfer feature can be especially useful for artists who want to explore different color variations on their artwork. Users can play with specific color palettes for vector illustrations and be inspired by reference pictures and photos in their libraries. Watch the video above to learn how to edit the Spanish tile design with colors extracted from the tiled work photos, or read more about the feature in the Adobe blog for more information. Development at conferences such as Adobe MAX. Not all features provide product updates, but Color Transfer is one that I hope will be rolled out soon.
