A flight attendant was seriously injured when she crashed from an airplane today prior to departure at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai
"The crew member shut the door for the recoil when she fell off the plane," a source told The Press Trust of India, and identified the plane as AI 864, a Delhi-Mum bai flight
Flight attendant Harsha Lobo, 53 years old, was transferred to Nanavati Hospital
"One of our cabin crew members Harsha Lobo crashed on the runway of the Boeing during an unfortunate incident -777 aircraft door on closing, "the airline later said in a statement. "She suffered injuries to her legs and was taken to Nanavati Hospital for further treatment."
Air India said it is investigating the incident.
About three years ago, an Air India engineer had been sucked into an airplane engine at Mumbai airport when the pilots prematurely stopped the engines after mistaking a signal.
