The Undertaker threw a few heavy shots at AJ Styles during a promo on Raw on Monday night, and “The Phenomenal One” has now responded to the verbal shock during his run in TNA.
In case you missed the promo… The Undertaker said his upcoming WrestleMania opponent was happy to be a big fish in a small pond because he knew he didn’t have what it takes to be with people like “Stone Cold ”to step into the ring. Steve Austin, the Rock, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and Edge.
However, during an interview on “The Bump” this morning, Styles took this statement in the shade and said his résumé speaks for itself.
Then he pointed out how he actually wrestled Kurt Angle in TNA (without mentioning the promotion) and said that many of the people who were in WWE also got where he worked.
“Listen, I would have been there earlier if I could. Sometimes things work the way they do, and it’s a different time. Boys aren’t as tall as they used to be. Boys my size have a chance where they wouldn’t even have had a chance to get into the ring back then, “he added.” So that’s all a lot of crap The Undertaker said. I hope that makes him feel better. ”
