All bars in Jefferson Parish are allowed to be open for on-site consumption but must follow guidelines as directed by the governor in accordance with Jefferson Parish instructions. Under Governor Edwards’ current Phase Three arrangement, bars can be opened when the ward has a positive rate of 5% or less for two consecutive weeks. The sale and service of alcohol in bars must end at 11 p.m., according to officials, with all guests must be vacated from the building by 11 p.m. The governor’s order prohibits the sale or service of alcohol for local consumption in any establishments, including restaurants and casinos, after 1
