BOSTON (CBS) – Last year Dion Lewis was upset. Understandably.
After collecting more than 378 strokes over 2,100 meters in New England and helping to win a Super Bowl in three seasons, the Patriots' lack of interest in him as a free agent bothered him a little. Lewis signed a $ 8.25 million guarantee on the Tennessee Titans.
And when these Titans defeated the Patriots in Week 10, Lewis felt like throwing a few shots at his former employer.
"That happens when you go cheap. You get a kick in the ass, "Lewis said after the game.
Lewis added, "All I had to do was let our team know that these guys are beatable. … I know the guys. I know that you physically deal with them [can] and leave them to them, and they will fold.
The Patriots won the Super Bowl. The Titans lost their next two games on the way to the absence of the postseason with a combined score of 72: 27.
Lewis, now nine months smarter, told reporters after training with the Patriots on Wednesday: none of this was serious ,
