Alum Sharna Burgess of & # 39; Dancing With The Stars & # 39; meets with moderator Tom Bergeron despite the recent departure

It seems that there are no harsh feelings between Sharna Burgess and Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron after their unexpected exit. The faith professional from the ABC competition series will not return in the upcoming 28th season, despite having won last season with Bobby Bones. The dancer, however, met for lunch with Bergeron and celebrated the reunion in the social media.

Burgess went on Instagram on Tuesday with a charming photo of herself and Bergeron hugging each other at the "hot lunch" a few weeks after the unveiling. She would not be dancing for the Mirrorball trophy this fall.

"Had a Hot Lunchtime Date Today [winky face emoji] Always Family [hearts emoji] loved to see your face @tombergeron, you're a great person," wrote Burgess along with the Sweetie

Bergeron responded to the sweet Message and simply wrote: "Right back atcha! [kissy face moji].

Fans of the DWTS personalities praised the dance for recording the High Road after their exit from the series.

"I love that despite every opportunity to feel and behave salty, you will spread positivity and light! I'll miss you on dwts, but I know bigger things are coming! "Commented a fan.

" I will really miss you, Sharna !!! I just do not understand !!! I am quite annoyed that they have outperformed those who were so loyal and brought in new ones, that surely it will NOT be the same! Between the last spring show and the present time they make a big mistake !!! I'm mad, like many others, "wrote another fan.

" They are missing on DWTS . They are one of my favorite dancers, "commented a third user.

Burgess and Artem Chigvintsev were noticeably absent from the list of professionals battling for victory in season 28. Both dancers broke their silence as they left the series. She continued," After almost 9 years, I feel like I grew up in the show. I will really miss to create for all of you, tell stories and perform, I will miss giving the transformative power of dance to the person before me, and I will miss it, my DWTS family Everyone watch the day and watched them work their craft in a way that inspires me. Although nothing can replace my love for the show, there are things in my world that I am looking forward to now that I have time. Everything happens for a reason. "

" I have endless love and gratitude for you all and for everyone on the show, "she concluded. For my colleagues you light up the stage again and again, you are what makes the show magical and I can not wait to see you shine. And to all 12 of my partners … thank you and I adore you. I will watch all my friends on the dance floor this upcoming season and cheer them on !!! Good luck, may this be the best season so far! Let's go to the 28th season !!!

Chigvintsev later shared more dramatic details of the end of his tenure in the series, while Burgess has kept things more positive.

Dancing With the Stars will return with season 28 Monday, September 16 at 8pm ET on ABC.
