We did not recommend the Sony WH-XB900N in the review of the headphones, but now a tempting $ 128 price tag lets us take a second look at it. With $ 120 discount, this is the cheapest price we've seen for headphones.
The Sony WH-XB900N is a noise-canceling, wireless headphone that promises a listening experience with a bit more bass. When this bass is overburdened and muddy, it technically delivers something. It uses NFC to simplify the Bluetooth setup process, and the USB-C charging port reduces the need for extra cables. The earlobe is touch-sensitive, so you can easily change the volume and answer calls. The touch pinna also activates the Fast Attention feature, which reduces the volume at the touch of a button and lets you hear the world around you instantly.
Normally we would not recommend these headphones, but this is a significant discount if you do. Some sound quality issues, questionable build quality, and noise suppression, which is weaker than expected, could still be a good buy. If you prefer an all-round headphone experience, then you should probably discount the superior 1000XM3 headphones.
