Although Netflix can be regarded as the preferred streaming service for movie fans around the world, it does not have the largest movie library's most popular options on the market Market. In fact, this title belongs to Amazon Prime Video, which has almost five times as many movies as Netflix on its list.
It may take a while for all the different movies to be counted up to the different levels of streaming service, but Streaming Observer did all the hard work for us. After researching the site, Amazon Prime Video has 17,461 movies in its streaming library.
To put this into perspective, Netflix has the next big movie library with nearly 4,000 movies on its list, the official total at 3,839. Hulu currently has a total of 2,336 films, while HBO only has 81
Although Amazon Prime is the preferred source for movies, the amount of its library does not necessarily affect its quality. As it turns out, Netflix has a significantly higher number of films rated "Certified Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes, giving the service the highest quality of available movies.
The study shows that Netflix has 596 certified Fresh movies available stream, equivalent to 15 percent of the entire library and is more than all three other services together. Amazon has 232 certified Fresh movies. That does not seem to be bad, but things change when you compare that number with the total number of movies in the service. Of the 17,000 films in the library, only 1.3 percent are Certified Fresh, the lowest of all four services.
Hul has 223 Certified Fresh movies to stream, which equates to 9.6 percent of the total product range. HBO has only 38 films that meet the criteria, 4.7 percent of its film list.
