An American tourist and driver was abducted by armed men in a national park in Uganda, the government said on Wednesday.
The American and a local driver were ambushed and kidnapped on Tuesday night at Queen Elizabeth National Park. 19659007] The Ugandan security forces searched for the prisoners to "find and rescue them," she added. "The priority here is to find them, rescue them and bring them back to safety."
Other tourists escaped unharmed and contacted the authorities, according to the government. No further information about her has been published.
