An ode to the alluring breeding grounds of Pokémon Sword and Shields Wild Area

Pokémon Sword and Shield have introduced the ability to encounter Pokémon in the Wild Area which are extremely out of your reach.

The Wild Area, an open zone and free wilderness in which Pokémon roam, is a new addition to the Pokémon series. This area is divided into different zones. There are some Pokémon in these zones that are way too strong for you to catch early in the morning. If Sneasels are running low and an Abomasnow shows up outside the lawn, you can expect the Abomasnow to be outside your level range.

Before I beat the game and had access to catching all, I could not help but run into these obvious traps. I did not want to fight her. I did not try to use them for experience points or something similar. I wanted to catch them, and every time I saw something in the Wild Area, my pea brain forgot it was an obvious Game Freak setup.

I will take care of my own affairs and cycle through the wilderness area, collecting objects and growing berries when I see a gallade in the distance. "Holy crap, is that just a fully developed gallade over there? My team has only level 36, but it will certainly be a low level and I can catch it. "I think I'm going headfirst into the Pokémon.

No, I am wrong again and the Gallade is far too strong for me. Sink and repeat with one of the mighty, alluring Pokémon in the wild. I do not know what draws me into her every time. The second I see a new, overpowering Pokémon in front of me, my brain completely forgets what happened last time, and I rush in at full speed, only to realize, "Wait, shit." [19659010] I think the thrill of seeing something so rare – a sophisticated Pokémon – makes my brain reset. I get so excited and overwhelmed when I see a wild umbreon or vileplume that I forget everything else around me. That's part of the magic of the game. I am so stunned that I forget the first rule that teaches me how to enter the game area: There will be Pokémon that are too strong for you.

I try to tell people: If a Pokémon in the Wild is too good to be true, that's probably it. But I can not follow my own advice.
