Support for the actor was not universal. Rapper 50 Cent mocked the statement of crews and was abused in social media.
Crews in Washington told the Senate Judiciary Committee that they are being caught at a party by a powerful Hollywood agent he is now suing. Senator Dianne Feinstein asked the actor, comedian and former athlete why he had not physically resisted. Crews explained that, with the help of his wife Rebecca, he had learned the benefits of nonviolence in America, especially as a black man.
"We have a cast text string and we all wrote to him how incredible it was," Samberg said Thursday by Crews' statement at a media appearance promoting his new movie, "Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation."
"He's a miracle, Terry is the best guy," said Samberg. "I'm proud to know him."
The Los Angeles Procuratorate declined to file charges against the agent, as the bustle did not meet the criteria for a crime, and the incident in February 2016 was beyond the statute of limitations as a misdemeanor
In a now-deleted post on Instgram, 50 cents mocked Crews statement. "LOL … Terry: I froze in fear that you had to take me to jail …"
At a Starz network event on Thursday night to support "Power", a series of 50 cents will be released "If you put LOL behind every statement, it means you're laughing out loud, which means it's a joke, that's it, sometimes journalists skip those things . "
