Anthony Davis injury update: According to the report, Lakers Star's MRI is clean again

The regular season has not even started, but the Los Angeles Lakers are already dealing with injury issues.

First, there is Kyle Kuzma, who has been pausing since a stressful break in the foot when he was playing in the off-season with Team USA, and now there is Anthony Davis, who left the Lakers preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets in China on Saturday with a sprained right thumb.

The good news, however, is that, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Superstar Center on Monday had an MRI on that thumb and it came back clean. An exact timeline is not yet known, but this is the best result the Lakers could hope for. Without major ligament damage, Davis should not run the risk of missing a significant amount of time.

Davis suffered an injury in the first half of the competition after beating the ball. Although he initially stayed in the game, Davis eventually dropped out of the contest and did not return. He finished the game with six points in 2-on-7 shooting, followed by three rebounds, two blocks and one theft in 12 minutes.

Although Davis may still be forced to miss some or all of the remaining Lakers preseason games, there is obviously hope that Davis will be successful in the Lakers' regular season against the Clippers on October 22 Monday's MRT apparently put him on track to play in this matchup.
