There is already a very good reason not to update

Apple
iOS 12.1.3. But if you have not paid attention to
my strong warnings here lurks another nasty surprise …

Apple iOS 12.1.3 breaks WiFi and cellular data Apple

With complaints about iOS 12.1.3, the iPhone mobile data cuts off (as far as Sprint has issued a warning message ), there is the fear that users are stuck only with wireless. However, with more and more iPhone owners upgrading, it's clear that iOS 12.1.3 is also breaking WiFi.

Unsurprisingly, the affected users are not satisfied, and Apple's official support support for @AppleSupport on Twitter faces some seriously disgruntled iPhone owners. For example:

"@ AppleSupport PLEASE Fix iOS 12, 12.1.3 aborts my Wi-Fi connection, and my Wi-Fi works on my other devices, and my phone is not as bad as others in this update, freezes However, a lags too much, please tell us everything you have a fix! #iOS # Apple "- Source

"I'm having problems with my 5G and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection, which freezes a certain frequency. I have to put the iPhone into flight mode and then take it out. iPhone XS Max iOS 12.1.3 @ AppleSupport "- Source

" Hey @ AppleSupport I have a network problem. Especially when I'm connected to Wi-Fi, I've just upgraded to iOS 12.1.3. I've tried using different Wi-Fi networks, but still the same, what's going on? "- Source

" Update from iOS 12.1.2 to 12.1.3 and the wifi connection is even crazier , Get your shit ready. @AppleSupport @tim_cook "- Source

In addition, some iPhone owners unfortunately hit both and the cellular data and Wi-Fi errors simultaneously:

" Since the Updating my # iPhone7 to iOS 12.1.3 I only had connectivity issues. My cellular signal and WLAN are constantly falling off. Please fix this, @ AppleSupport! "- source

" Since updating my #iPhoneXsMax to iOS 12.1.3 … my mobile signal and Wi-Fi are constantly falling off. @ AppleSupport, what is going on ??? – source

"Updated to iOS 12.1.3 and my WiFi becomes hormonal whenever it wants. I also did not receive any cellular signal. You are no longer my wingman? @Apple @AppleSupport "- Source

If you're having problems with Wi-Fi and cellular connections, iOS 12.1.3 affects data speed:

" Wi-Fi Download speed on my # iphonexs is 20 MB / s compared to 120 MB / s on my computer (for the same signal point). "- source

" @ AppleSupport I pay my provider for 100 MBit / s , and my iPhone X gets 10-20 Mbps. After resetting also the modem the problem persists … iOS 12.1.3 is installed. This happens when I am near the modem with full Wi-Fi bars. "- source

" @ AppleSupport Since upgrading to iOS 12.1.3, my wireless is really unstable (slow or no connection at random) while my other devices are fine on the network. Is this a known problem ??? "- Source

At this stage, serious questions must be asked about Apple's iOS quality control. The Wi-Fi problems started in iOS 12.1.2 and got worse in iOS 12.1.3, while the data error in the cell can be traced back to iOS 12.1.1 before [19659009] gets worse in iOS 12.1.2 and eventually led to a warning message with iOS 12.1.3 .

Apple's commitment with iOS 12 was to focus on performance and reliability. It has actually delivered on its promise of speed, making iOS 12 a very responsive upgrade, but its reliability is twofold. Not only are even larger errors occurring, which is even worse (since errors are inevitable), they are not set as a priority from release to release .

And considering the feature list for iOS 12.1.3 there is no reason for any iPhone owner to play Russian roulette with their device now …
