Apple warns owners of older iPhones and iPads that they can not connect to the Internet by Sunday unless they update their devices to the latest iOS software.
According to Apple, this is all due to the problem of the GPS time rollover, which occurs about every 19 years when GPS devices need to be reset to accurately measure time and date.
] According to Apple, GPS-enabled products from other manufacturers were affected during the last reset on 6 April.
So, if you have an iPhone 5, 4, or iPad mini with cellular phone capability, an iPad 2, or a third-generation iPad, this is for you.
The updated software version number should be 1
iOS 10.3.4 : iPhone 5 and iPad (4th Generation) Wi-Fi + Cellular
iOS 9.3.6 : iPhone 4s, iPad mini (1. Generation) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular (only CDMA models), iPad (3rd generation) Wi-Fi + Cellular
