Before Aretha Franklin was laid to rest, fans and famous friends gathered with a memorial concert in their hometown of Detroit on Thursday
The free show "A Tribute to the Queen" was sold out within minutes Monday
The tribute took place at Chene Park, but those who did not have tickets could watch the concert live stream.
A folk tribute organized by Franklin's family was full of celebrity appearances and performers
An R & B tribute with performances by Ronnie McNeir, Cherry Black, Gwen Foxx, Beth Griffith-Manley, Kimmie Horne and others Detroit Free Press reports.
An all-star tribute will follow with Angie Stone, Tweet, Regina Belle, Raheem DeVaughn and Keith Washington and the Four Tops.
It will also be a jazz and gospel tribute as Franklin grew up and sang gospel music.
Tyler Perry, Jenifer Lewis and Judge Greg Mathis are also in attendance, and the show will be featuring one Performance of Franklin's greatest success "Respect" ends.

The tribute concert comes just a day after Franklin's public eye-catching. On Tuesday, Franklin was dressed in a red suit and red pumps in a bronze casket at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. She was then changed into a blue powder dress and matching shoes on Wednesday.
On Thursday, final consideration, Franklin was dressed in a pink gold St. Johns gown and gold heels at New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan
Franklin died at age 76 from pancreatic cancer on August 16.
"Living in one of the darkest moments of our time, we are unable to find the words to match the pain in our hearts, "Franklin's family said in a statement.
"We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family, and the love that she had for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins knew no bounds."
"We are deeply touched by the incredible love and support we have received from close friends, supporters and fans the world. "

Franklin's funeral will take place on Friday in the Greater Grace Temple. It will be streamed live.
