How does an artist return to a career-defining tragedy with playful new music that is solemn without being insensitive?

Ariana Grande hits the Right Balance on No Tears Left To Cry her first new song since a break from the music after the tragic bombing at her concert in Manchester on May 22, 2017 22 people died as 100 injured.

For her comeback single after the toughest year of her career, Grande sends out a message to fans that she mourns and cries and reflects, and now she advances to the next phase of her career – and steps back onto the dance floor.

No Tears Left To Cry is almost the spiritual successor of their 2014 hit Break Free both songs found Grande in evolutionary mode and marveled at the shifting changes [19659008] Before Grande comes to the lyrics on "Turning Up" and Dancing in the Rain, No Tears Left To Cry begins with a gritty intro that unfolds the narrative implied in the track title: "Right now, I am in a state of mind / I want to be in me all the time / There are no tears left to cry / So I pick it up, pick it up, I love, I live, I'm picking it. "Then the beat continues and Grande repeats the first lyrics of the piece, this time as a solemn chorus.

In No Tears's Left To Cry 's songwriting, it's clear that Grande sings from a different perspective than before, from "another mentality" in which she "is a lot to fly, to participate in all this hatred ". Reasonably, with No Tears Left To Cry, Grande does not shy away from the traumas of Manchester with a mindless clubbanger, nor does he exploit them in a heavy ballad. Rather, the track signals that, though she still holds the tragedy in her heart, she finally cleans her head.

And at the age of 24 still at the beginning of her prolific pop career and after a ordeal that brought a living wage of trauma, Grande earned her hard-won peace.
