The premiere of Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette is just hours away – will Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham turn on?
"Yes, I think we will," Burnham, 26, tells people. "I'm really curious how her boys are!"
Of course, at the beginning of the year, the trio was at the epicenter of the most recent (and most contentious) season of The Bachelor . Less than two months after proposing to Kufrin (28), Luyendyk Jr. (36) realized he was still in love with his runner-up Burnham. He eventually decided to break up with Kufrin to pursue a relationship with Burnham – and suggested her on live television during the two-hour After the Last Rose special on March 6.
Since then they have all moved on. Kufrin is busy again, this time with one of its candidates Bachelorette and Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham have recently announced that they will tie the knot early next year.
"We wish her good luck," says Luyendyk Jr. PEOPLE of his ex-fiancee. "We are very excited about how her journey is developing, I know that we announce our wedding very soon before its premiere, but I think we wanted to do it now because we did not want our announcement out of respect for her during her season "I know she is happily employed and we are really happy for her."
And the feeling is mutual: During a press conference to promote her season this week, Kufrin told reporters that they really "just like them Happiness wishes.

Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham? They make it better than ever when they get theirs Hawaiian wedding planning taking place at Haiku Mill in Maui on January 12, 2019. The couple actually stumbled upon the venue while Burnham made the big step into her fiancé's hometown on Scottsdale, Arizona.
"We drove around the country and while driving we looked at different venues online," says Luyendyk Jr. "He spit out us again and again, it was something we both really thought was so nice And it is not your typical Hawaiian wedding – if you look at the place it is very old and looks very European with a kind of tropical touch which is exactly what we envisioned as an ideal wedding location always thinking about different options and Haiku Mill just kept coming, so we have a date there and we're really excited. "
Now that the venue is booked, Burnham says she's looking forward to the next steps. Shopping on Thursday in Kleinfeld's New York City.
"When we were engaged, I thought, 'I just want to run and marry you and me, planning does not interest me, I do not care,' she says. "For me, this is a whole new experience and so far it has been a lot of fun. Now that I know the venue, I somehow know what look I want to do, but I think that could change when I start trying on clothes So who knows! "

One thing that is for sure? The wedding will not be televised.
"It was on the table, but I think we should rather have a private wedding," says Luyendyk Jr. "We've been through a lot this year, and we'd rather have it privately between our friends and family And the venue is pretty small, it only holds 100 people, and that's something we could find great – an intimate wedding. "
And we can definitely expect Burnham's colleagues Bachelor from the invitation by Luyendyk Jr.
"It's strange for people who were not in this situation to really grasp it, but for me it's not embarrassing unless they ended," she says. "I do not think it's embarrassing at all."
