Emily Bett Rickards' shocking decision to quit Arrow before the eighth and final season of the CW drama will be reflected in the Season 7 finale, TVLine has learned.
Talking to TVLine Sunday at WGFestival 2019 The Writers Guild Foundation, Arrow told showrunner Beth Schwartz that Rickicks and thus Felicity's output had been approached at the end of this season's final season premiere , (Schwartz tweeted on March 19 that she had just written the Finale script, while Stephen Amell announced on March 25 that he had read it.) When Schwartz told TVLine, "Did we know," where Rickards went The Head was in terms of her future in the series. [Saturday afternoon] Rickards shared the news of her withdrawal via Instagram, which said in part, "Felicity and I are two very close, but after one to seven we'll say goodbye to you. "Shortly thereafter, Greg Berlanti, EP of Greg Berlanti and Arrowverse, made the following statement:" Although we both trust that both Emily and Felicity will leave the show, we support Emily and her future endeavors. She will always have a family around Arrow .
Does this concluding part of the joint statement mean that Rickards will likely return to at least the Grandeser series finale? (The eighth and final season of Arrow has just ten episodes.)
"I can not comment on that," Schwartz replied.
What do you think about Rickards' Felicity being advertised in time? the season finale?
