Last week we had our long-awaited first look at Ruby Rose as Batwoman, and now we have received our unofficial first look at Tyler Hoechlin's Superman in this year's Arrowverse crossover "Elseworlds" courtesy of the hero who started it
On Monday, Arrow star Stephen Amell shared a photo of himself with The Flash 's Grant Gustin and Hoechlin, who wears a very black version of Superman's suit. (In the comics, Superman wore a similar, capeless outfit when revived after his deadly fight against Doomsday, but we doubt that this is a death of Superman scenario.)
Look at it :
Although everyone in the Arrowverse has remained a mother, what to expect from "Elseworlds" who will see Flash (Gustin), Green Arrow (Amell), and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) finally meet Gotham City's Batwoman, Arrow Showrunner Beth Schwartz teased as it filled up with Nazi-filled "Crisis on Earth-X." compared to last year's multiverse jumping.
"This ego is not as dark as it was last season," Schwartz told EW at the fall party on Saturday. "Obviously there were Nazis last season, I definitely think there's a lot more fun in the crossover this year."
Schwartz went on to explain how the former Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim, the The show has traveled this season, taking the lead on the crossover. "I call it now – I coined that term – the showrunner of crossover episodes & # 39;" she said. "It was huge, huge in the crossovers, and it really is at the height of those episodes and they'll be great."
In addition to Batwoman's debut and Superman's appearance in all three parts, "Elseworlds" will appear Grimm Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane; Designated Survivor 's LaMonica Garrett as the Monitor; Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries; and Jeremy Davies as the potentially mentally ill Arkham Asylum-Doc, who is the reason the Arrow Trinity is primarily coming to Gotham City.
"Elseworlds" begins on Sunday, December 9, with The Flash at 8 pm; continues on Monday, December 10th at 8pm. with arrow ; and ends at 8 pm the following evening. with Supergirl .
