BOSTON – Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci have been waiting four years to win a Stanley Cup playoff series and they have one Much of Win 7's win over the Toronto Maple Leafs has been attributed to the young Core.

"They always find a way to ascend," Bergeron said after the game. "It's a special group."

A special rookie who shone was Jake DeBrusk, the 21-year-old played a crucial role in the 7: 4 victory of the Bruins in the TD Garden.

"Jake has achieved great goals," Bergeron said.

DeBrusk had two goals during the night, including the tie game and the tie-break.

Danton Heinen also scored a goal in the first half for Boston, who made Charlie McAvoy famous on the ice and scored twice in 26:43.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy liked what he saw of Heinen, saying it was his "hardest pucking game in a long time".

Bergeron, who has been in Boston's NHL Draft 2003 since the team's election, likes what he sees in the young players.

"The character these young people have is something special," said Bergeron. "And we enjoy helping as veterans."

Cassidy agrees, noting that every freshman has a veteran on his line for support. He said that the young people did it partly because they want to learn from their "big brothers".

"Of course we are not here without the home group (veteran) here," Cassidy said after the game. "We have well complemented them with some good young people who can play and who are respectful.

"You could be good, but if you do not want to learn, the veterans will say after a while:" Hey, if this guy does not want it, then we'll just move on. & # 39;

Part of this learning process took place on Wednesday night when the veterans cheered the club before the start of the third round. The message was simple:

"I think we all believe we can do it and find a way to win," Bergeron said.

The Bruins found their way to a second round with the Tampa Bay Lightning, which will start on Saturday at 15:00. ET for game 1.
