As Tom Brady says, the Eagles have helped create the “Patriot Way” in New England

Will Parks and Malcolm Jenkins have never been teammates, but it felt like that last week.

Parks and Jenkins met Rodney McLeod and all three security measures were carried out together in Philly on Thursday.

And Jenkins gave Parks a lot of tips, one of the guys who will try to replace him with the Eagles in 2020.

[Jenkins] I was up to the training we had yesterday and it was just great, man, ”Parks said on Friday to John Clark from NBC Sports Philadelphia.

“He is in this position and can teach me so many different things in two hours what he has gained from it, what he has learned from it and how he believes that I can excel in it. He told me so much yesterday.

That off-season, the Eagles ran Jenkins as a free agent and he returned to the New Orleans Saints after six years in Philly. As part of a multi-tier plan to replace Jenkins, the Eagles signed a one-year deal with Philadelphia-born Will Parks.

Parks said he and Jenkins had trained earlier, but this time it was obviously different.

Remember, there is a good chance that parks will line up next to McLeod at Jenkin’s old place this season. And the Saints even play the Eagles this season.

But Jenkins was happy to give advice to Parks last week.

Parks was asked what that said about Jenkins:

“It speaks … it’s easy, he’s a man,” said Parks. “It’s not bigger than him. He loves this city, you know what I mean? This city has loved him since he’s been here. He can just say,” Hey, man, I think I know what you do “Just to show me different things, it speaks to him as a man.

“He is a great man, a great character, obviously with the community things he was involved in here in the city. Hopefully we can carry this torch on and take it where he left off and of course create a new legacy . It’s exciting. He’s a great guy. ”

While Jenkins will line up for the Saints in 2020, it is a bit unclear who will line up next to his former security mate McLeod in Philly. The Eagles have several options, including Jalen Mills, Rookie K’Von Wallace, and of course Parks.

But there are some obvious uncertainties. Both Mills and Parks have one-year contracts. Mills moves from the corner, Parks learns a new defense and Wallace is a fourth round choice.

When we get to the training camp, it will definitely be a fight to watch. Getting two hours of advice from a man who held this position for six seasons won’t hurt Parks.
