DHAKA, Bangladesh – On Thursday, a fire broke out in a large office tower in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. At least four people were killed and an innumerable number imprisoned, reported the local media.
Videos continued to circulate social media showed great flames in the 24-story building, FR Tower and at least one person was seen jumping or falling.
"Seventeen fire departments of the Dhaka Fire Department and civil defense are trying to extinguish the fire," said officer Ataur Rahman of the Dhaka Fire Department of the Dhaka Tribune. 1
As the fire climbed higher, staff broke the blue glass of the building and shouted for help. Thousands of people gathered down in the neighborhood of Banani, a commercial district of Dhaka, to take pictures and videos.
In February, 70 people were killed in a fire that swept through a densely populated district in Dhaka city with some 20 million inhabitants.
