DETROIT – In the city of Detroit, violence broke out overnight, with at least seven people shot dead in five different locations.
A shoot took place around midnight during a music video shoot on Edgewood and Erwin. According to the police, two vehicles collided. The people in the vehicles then started shooting at each other. Two people were hit by shots. One is in stable condition. The other is in critical condition. Two people were taken into police custody. Read more here.

At 1:50 on Friday, a 42-year-old man was shot dead on Broadstreet Ave. near Collingwood. The police said these shots were due to a dispute the victim had with a friend. There were no arrests. The victim is in a stable condition.
Also on Friday at 1:50 am, a woman was shot dead in the area of 7 Mile and Lahser. The 20-year-old woman told the officials she was at a block party when someone started firing. She was taken to the hospital where she is now in stable condition.[235,500,200] At 11:00 pm Thursday, a woman was shot dead in the Angline and McNichols area. The victim drove to a nearby hospital where she is listed in a stable condition. The cause of the shooting is unclear.
All these shootings are being investigated.
