Avengers Endgame Spoiler: Who is the kid in the end?

Now that the world sees Avengers: Endgame in record numbers, the final installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's infinity saga, there are many questions to answer. And that's before you think about what's happening in the MCU from here. We know that some movies are yet to come, but how will Marvel Studios outperform what they've already done? Warning: Contains Spoiler for Avengers: Endgame.

While most questions you have are likely to be answered over time, there are a few that we can now solve, whether there was a scene after the end credits or what the end of the movie is. However, there is another question – a minor one, but it can still be answered.

Near the end of the film, during the funeral of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), he knows many of them. During the first decade of the MCU, from his fellow campaigners to the Guardians of the Galaxy to friends like Aunt May ( Marisa Tomei) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). However, there was a face in the crowd that you might not have recognized: a teenager's. At a glance you may have dismissed him as Peter Parker (Tom Holland), but the answer is actually a really nice easter egg.

The boy is Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins). You should remember him when Tony Stark's little buddy in Iron Man 3. In the 2013 film, Tony lands after an attack by Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) in Tennessee, where he befriends Harley. The child helps him track down the Mandarin and plays a big role in helping Tony cope with the PTSD he suffers from Avengers' first movie.

Harley was neither seen nor mentioned in the MCU after Iron Man 3, but including him in Tony's funeral is a very nice gesture – and shows how strongly Stark influenced the young man. In fact, maybe Harley is a candidate for the next Iron Man. It probably will not happen, but what a funny twist it would be. Regardless, the puzzle is solved.

Avengers: Endgame is now in theaters. Make sure you've reviewed GameSpot's report on the movie, as well as a list of all who die, and a deep insight into Dr. Strange between Infinity War and Endgame.
