Backstreet Boys joined Jimmy Fallon and the Roots on Thursday Tonight Show to play their signature hit "I Want It That Way" with class instruments.
The mega-band crowded into a dressing room and harmonized on the single 1999, a massive percussion section with shakers, wooden blocks, triangles and tambourines. The roots have polished the track with xylophone, ukulele and melodica.
The group also completed the episode with a live version of their recently released single, Do not Go Breaking My Heart, which used choreographies to interpret the ocean waves and broken hearts of the lyrics. The song is the first preview of the quintet's ninth LP, a sequel to the 2013 In a World Like This . The singers explore the country's influences on the album, which is expected this fall.
The group AJ McLean will participate in an upcoming documentary film about Boy Band impresario Lou Pearlman, The Lou Pearlman Project expects to premiere later this year on YouTube Red.
