A Beatrice family mourns their 12-year-old son. They say he died unexpectedly Wednesday as a result of the flu.
According to his obituary, Draven Findeis showed signs of flu and was treated at the Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha. Draven was a sixth grade student at Beatrice Middle School.
Instead of monuments, the family demands that people get an influenza vaccine to commemorate their son.
Draven's family says he is an avid artist and reader. Draven enjoyed video games, Legos, cartoons, superheroes, music, drawing, comics, and Taco Bell.
