It was certainly a whirlwind for the couple. After fans had noticed Yrigoyen's question on a beach in the Maldives, Kurfrin and her fiancé sat down with Bachelor [ChrisHarrison to discuss their plans for the future. According to the happy couple, they plan to spend some time in each of their home countries and possibly move to California. They also revealed that they have not completed any wedding plans.
Yrigoyen also took the opportunity to address his social media controversy. In May, the doctor came under fire after former bachelor Ashley Spivey shared screenshots of Yrigoyen who liked several offensive posts, including those who survived Parkland David Hogg and members of the transgender community.
While apologizing for his actions at the time, Yrigoyen decided to repeat his feelings on Monday night.
"When I liked things, it went against what she stands for, and that made it really hard for us a couple," he said. "When we started talking about it, we went through it together, and we're growing, we're making progress, and we're moving forward."
Kufrin's journey to love did not come without a little heartbreak. Before she accepted Yrigoyen's proposal, she said goodbye to Blake Horstmann . While Horstmann left the show in tears, he told Kufrin later that he was happy that she was happy.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
