BIG3 Opening Weekend: Josh Smith and Royce White dropped out of their league debuts after an early duel in Detroit

Royce White was # 1 in the BIG3 Draft in 2019 last month, but his first league game did not go that well. He was not aware of the firing clock in the opening possession and got no shot, but was ejected a short time later.

At the start of the game against Bivouac, White tried to get the ball in the basket and ended former NBA all-star Josh Smith with a foul. Angry over the call, Smith began to complain to the referee, then turned to White and the two began to attack each other.

At some point they faced each other and Smith put a small forearm in White to try to free some space, which White did not take well. It would have been ugly at the time, but they shackled and were only able to push back and forth for a few seconds before they were separated.

After a brief consultation, the referees decided to calm the situation and put an end to the antics by ejecting both players. It was a tough night for Smith as the crowd in Detroit got him out of the $ 56 million four-year deal he signed with the Pistons in 201

3 (they still pay him, by the way), apparently booted by the fans not the feeling that he lived it.

It's not clear what kind of punishment White and Smith will receive for their launches, but for both this is not a good looking and it's a bad way to start their BIG3 career.
