Bird or hare: An optical illusion of an animal confuses the Internet

No, it's definitely a bird. But hey, you are the judge.

A video of a black beast scraping nicely spreads quickly on the Internet as people take sides in another big debate.

Daniel Quintana, a scientist at Oslo University in Norway, is responsible for all of this – he found the video on a sharing site on Sunday and tweeted it, "Rabbits love to over their noses stroke."

Since then it has been blown up – all because Quintana has played with a famous optical illusion in which a rabbit looks like a bird and a bird like a rabbit. His video alone was viewed millions of times.

But here's the point: CNN has actually confirmed that the video does not just show a bird, but specifically an African white-necked raven called Mischief.
He is a member of the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, Missouri, and is 1
8 years old. Look – here he says, "Hello."
The video posted by Quintana was eventually taken by Paige Davis, Curator of Bird Training at the Shrine. "He has become viral several times with millions of views," she said.

Here is the original clip.

Mischief flies, talks, paints and much more, she explained, calling him "a very talented bird".

If he does not scratch his head, Mischief works as an educational ambassador for his species, Davis explained, teaching people all about ravens, conservation, and how we can help all animals.

"He even recycles cans and bottles and shows that recycling is so easy that a bird can do it," she said. "His talents are endless."

Fortunately, these talents do not involve any form changes between the species.
