The date and time of release was announced for Operation Absolute Zero, the next big drop in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
According to an in-game announcement screen, Operation Absolute Zero will be launched Tuesday, December 11 at 10 am PT / 1 PM PT on PlayStation 4.
As usual, PS4 will drop this content a week earlier than the Xbox One and PC platforms, as set forth in the Sony exclusivity agreement with Activision
The message contained in the announcement will provide Operation Absolute Zero with a new specialist, an update of the blackout card, and new weapons for Black Ops 4.
This is the first time new weapons have been used. Since the 3XB SMG Daemon, the SWAT RFT Assault Rifle, and the Secret Santa Melee Weapon are all on the market, they have been out of counterattack tiers since launch on October 1
These weapons are offered in addition to new gun camos, reactive camos, reticles, and other seasonal holiday-related items that will be added in the coming days.
The all-new specalist being added is called Zero, who is a "versatile and deadly hacker, available both in multiplayer and blackout." In multiplayer, Zero can upset and distract enemies with "powerful hacking tools," including an EMP.
Players can unlock this new specialist by completing Tier 1 on the black market with the introduction of Absolute Zero reworked.
As for Blackout, a whole new set of content is added to the popular Battle Royale mode, including Black Ops 2's iconic hijacked card, the new armored ARAV vehicle, the Zero Specialist, and a brand new set of blackout zombies -character missions.
The launch of Operation Absolute Zero also means that the end of Operation First Strike is near, and Treyarch has confirmed that it will end on December 11th.
This gives players a maximum of four days to try to ascend their content will flow as well as possible, and with First Strike, with a total of 200 levels, many will likely miss the highest rank.
